ORDERING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

What is the best way to place an order?

You can order, here on our secure website, www.KosherCarePackages.com or call our customer care team at 877.KCP.0500  (527.0500)

Can I substitute items in a basket or care package?

Absolutely!  We make most of our baskets and care packages to order, so customizing them is our pleasure! Our personal service distinguishes Kosher Care Packages from many other gift basket companies.  We are happy to customize gifts to suit our customers’ needs, whether it is taste and kashruth preferences, allergy, dietary needs or budgetary. Gifts that are  shipped directly from the manufacturer are not able to be customized at this time.

What is the Care Package of the Month Club?

Our KCP Care Package of the Month Club makes it easy for you to send gifts on an ongoing basis.  You order once and your gifts are shipped on a monthly basis. You can order anywhere from 3-12 months.  You will be charged only once, when the order is placed.    This is a very popular gift choice for students living away from home.


How do I know what is being sent each month?


You can choose from our pre-set monthly Care Package of the Month Club menu,  or call our Customer Care Team at 877.527.0500 to customize your gifts.


What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Paypal and Google Checkout for on-line orders.   Checks are accepted for phone orders only. Orders paid by check must be prepaid before shipment is sent

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS

Do you have baskets for special dietary needs, such as nut free, gluten free and sugar free?

YES WE DO!  We offer all of these options. Allergy Free, Gluten Free, Sugar Free

KASHRUTH

Under what supervision are your baskets?

All Kosher Care Packages and Gourmet Gift Baskets are certified by one of the following:

OU. OK STAR K KOF K, CRC, KSA, VAAD OF NEW ENGLAND, VAAD OF QUEENS, BADATZ.   Our handmade baked goods are pareve, are pas yisroel.  Our Israeli baskets are under strict Rabbinic supervision as well.  All are certified by OU, BEDATZ, MEHADRIN or a local Rabbinic certifying organization.)

Our baskets in the US contain items that are dairy, pareve and meat.   Meat items are OU-GLATT.   The dairy items are not Chalav Yisroel.  Please call us at 877.527.0500 and we will be happy to substitute for a pareve item for a dairy item.

SHIPPING

How long after I place my order will my gift be shipped?

In most cases,  if ordered before 12 Noon, your gift will ship the same day via UPS.  We ship Monday-Thursday (excluding Jewish holidays) unless otherwise requested. Gifts that are shipped directly from manufacturer will ship within 48 hours and may take up to 5 days to deliver.


How will I know that my gift has shipped and that it was delivered?

You will be notified by e-mail with all tracking information when your package is entered into our shipping database.  You will also be notified when your gift has been delivered.

How long will it take for my gift to arrive?

Please see the map below to see how long your gift will take in transit.  We ship from our warehouse in New York, so most of the tri- state area is in a one-day delivery zone.  Gifts that are shipped directly from manufacturer will ship within 48 hours and may take up to 5 days to deliver.

 

 

UPS Ground Shipping time in transit from Kosher Care Packages

What is the cost of shipping?

We charge a flat fee of $9.95 for all UPS ground shipments in the US.  For Israeli shipments, the delivery is included in the price of the gift.

Is my package insured against loss or damage?

Yes. We provide insurance at no additional charge to you.  In most cases a replacement package will be sent as soon as we are notified of the loss. You must notify us within 3 days of the delivery of a damaged package.  We will arrange for the package to be picked up and send a new one immediately.

Will my holiday gift arrive in time?

Yes. We ship holiday gifts to arrive up to a week before the start of the holiday, unless otherwise requested.  We schedule our holiday shipments so that they will not arrive on a Yom tov day.

How will my college student know that a package has arrived?

We will e-mail all tracking information to students if an e-mail address is provided.

Can you ship to PO Boxes or APO/FPO box addresses?

Yes we do!  This is something that sets up apart from many other gift basket companies.  We ship to PO, APO/FPO Boxes via the US Postal Service.  The shipping rates will be calculated at the time the order is placed.  We will e-mail the recipient with tracking information, however, we cannot be responsible if the package is not picked up.

Do you ship to hotels?

Yes.  A large part of our business is shipping to hotels for conferences, special events, and travel meals.   You need to provide us with a contact person at the hotel, in addition to the guest’s name.  We will make every effort to see that your package is delivered as scheduled, however, we cannot be responsible if the guest has checked out before the delivery is made, or if the staff does not deliver the package in a timely manner.

Do you ship to hospitals?

 We will ship to hospitals, however, please note that patients in ICU cannot receive deliveries.  We cannot be responsible if a patient has been discharged before the gift arrives.  We suggest that, if you are not sure how long the patient will be hospitalized that you ship to him/her at home after being released from the hospital.

We offer same day delivery locally to the following hospitals  (if ordered by 12 Noon):

- North Shore University Hospital- Community Drive, Manhasset location only

- Long Island Jewish Medical Center

- New York Hospital Flushing

An additional delivery charge of $10.00 will be added for same day delivery.

What happens if the address I provide is incomplete or incorrect?

Usually, we catch these mistakes once the address is entered into our shipping database, before the package is shipped.   If the address provided is a real address, just not the right address, your package will be returned to us. There will be a charge of $19.95 to reship, which includes the UPS return fee, and the charge to reship the package.

Can I order multiple gifts with different shipping addresses on one order?

Yes, you will be able to add recipient names on product page and save your addresses at check out. Please note that Google checkout does not support multiple ship-tos. 

 Do you have a Corporate Gift Division?

Yes.  At Kosher Care Packages we offer a flexible and creative corporate gift-giving program.  You can choose from our many gift baskets or design your own gift.

We can include your business card, brochure or any corporate promotional piece in your gift baskets at no additional charge.  In addition, we have the ability to design custom, imprinted packaging for your gifts.  Please call our customer care team at 877.527.0500 and we will be happy to help you with your custom corporate gift giving needs.

We offer a corporate discount program, with savings from 10-25% depending on volume.

 RETURN POLICY

What if the person I sent the gift to doesn’t like it?

Of course, we hope that you and your gift recipient will be thrilled with your Kosher Care Package; however, we understand that from time to time, things go amiss.   If for some reason, you are not happy with the gift basket, please call us at 877.527.0500 within 3 business days of the gift’s delivery, to request a return authorization.   We will arrange for the package to be picked up.  When we receive the basket, including gift basket contents and packaging, we will issue you a credit for 90% of the original price.  We charge a 10% restocking fee and the cost of shipping is non-refundable. 

We pride ourselves on our customer service.  We love our repeat customers as well as our first-timers.  We want you to tell your friends and business associates about the great service and products you get at Kosher Care Packages.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY

If I order on line will my information remain private and secure? 

At Kosher Care Packages, we respect your privacy and do NOT sell our mailing lists.  We use the information you provide us to better serve your gift giving needs.  Our website is secure, certificate provided by Geotrust Rapid SSL.  In addition, our security is audited daily by MacAfee and payment security is provided by Authorize.net.
